Aidan Brannigan faces an anxious wait to see if he faces a retrospective suspension as Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) meet today.

The Down defender was shown on TV to have struck out against Fermanagh’s Marty McGrath during the counties’ Ulster quarter-final on Sunday.

If the CCCC find he has a case to answer, Brannigan could face a proposed one-match ban, which would rule him out of the county’s semi-final against Monaghan on June 24. As referee Syl Doyle appeared not to have seen the incident, the CCCC are free to investigate the incident.
