Tennyson landed a fine first-half point as the Cats, minus Michael Fennelly, Richie Power, Michael Rice, JJ Delaney and Henry Shefflin, turned on a scoring exhibition.

Thomas Breen slammed home Kilkenny’s first goal in the 25th minute. He also bagged their second and TJ Reid beat James Dempsey in the 30th minute as the Cats enjoyed a 3-13 to 0-6 interval lead.
