Leitrim and Westmeath draw Parnell Park thriller

Leitrim and Westmeath must do it all again after a thrilling Ladies Football Division 3 final ended level at Parnell Park on Saturday.

In a game littered with 56 frees, Leitrim had the chance to pick up their first Division 3 title with the last kick of the game, but the outstanding Áine Tighe failed to convert from an acute angle. Subs Shauna Clancy and Laura O’Dowd earlier kicked Leitrim into a two-point lead with five minutes left, only for Fiona Claffey and Laura Walsh to kick the midlanders level.
