But the reigning Kerry county champions face a huge battle against local rivals and defending kingpins Rathmore in the Kerry senior club football championship final that will unfold at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney this evening (6.45pm).

When these two East Kerry clubs clashed in the semi-finals of this competition last year, Rathmore produced an amazing performance to come from nine points down in the first half before clinching a famous win, en route to claiming the senior crown, but Crokes gained some measure of revenge by winning the rearranged 2011 East Kerry final back in January.
