St Finbarr’s fail to take advantage to leave Douglas on top
Following a 0-9 each draw with Ballincollig on Thursday night, Douglas moved to 10 points from eight games, a point clear of St Finbarr’s, who were unable to take advantage when they faced Nemo Rangers the following night.
Barry Fitzgerald, Odhran Mulrooney and Shane McCarthy were among the scorers for Douglas in a tight clash, which was level at 0-5 each at half-time — Cormac Dineen and Fitzgerald getting late points to earn the hosts a point. Prior to that, Ballincollig looked like they might come away with victory as they held their hosts scoreless for a quarter of an hour, John Kelly and Brian Glavin their chief scorers.
