McGeeney: Media glare unfairly on us

Kieran McGeeney claims coverage of Kildare’s financial woes has been unfair in comparison to other counties in similar and worse difficulties.

News broke last week of the county board receiving a €300,000 advance from Croke Park to assist them in paying creditors as McGeeney’s senior footballers spent 10 days on a training camp in Portugal.

However, the trip was paid for by the players themselves and the Armagh native is annoyed by how Kildare have been perceived.
