Inspired Holy Trinity lift Vocational crown

Holy Trinity claimed their second All-Ireland Vocational Schools SAFC title, exacting revenge on champions Gallen, who beat them in last year’s semi-final.

Kieran McGeary and John Loughran took the scoring honours with 1-5 and 1-3 respectively but the Cookstown lads dominated all over the pitch.

After a tight opening quarter, the winners took charge and though Aaron O’Donoghue scored two brilliant points for Gallen, McGeary’s 28th-minute goal gave Holy Trinity a 1-10 to 0-6 lead at half-time.
