Antrim goal blitz sinks Cavan

An Antrim goal fest shortly after half-time saw Cavan’s hopes of a vital win implode at Kingspan/Breffni Park.

However Tipp’s 0-11 to 0-8 win over Offaly ensures the Breffni men retain their Division 3 status for 2013. The Saffrons crashed home a hat-trick of goals in a four-minute spell which left Cavan on the cusp of relegation.

Antrim boss Liam Bradley included six debutants in his starting line-up but it was Cavan who lacked cohesion in the early stages.
