Battling Fermanagh close in on promotion
The result edges Peter Canavan’s side ever closer to promotion but Limerick’s slim ambitions were ended and Maurice Horan’s side also lost John Galvin, not long returned from a cruciate ligament snap, to injury.
Ger Collin got Limerick off to the perfect start when he blasted to the Fermanagh net in the third minute, and they led 0-4 to 1-4 at the break.
Canavan’s side were quick out of the blocks at the start of the second half with four unanswered points. But Limerick responded with five points of the trot to regain control.
However, Fermanagh produced a strong finish and points from Tommy McElroy, Shane McCabe and Corrig levelled matters.
