North Tipperary referees will consider their options if they don’t shortly receive written assurances from the county board on how they are to be paid for their services this year.

The match officials voted on Thursday night to send a letter to the board asking for a document clarifying the situation by this day week, March 31.

Many of them are concerned about the prospect about taxation, while some are concerned that they mightn’t be paid until the end of the year. Difficulties have also been reported in finding referees for club games in Tipperary this weekend with some match officials having to double up.
