Tense wait for Dillon and Cunningham

Paul Dillon and Aaron Cunningham face an anxious couple of days as they wait to see whether they face suspensions ruling them out of the All-Ireland final replay.

Tense wait for Dillon and Cunningham

Garrycastle’s Dillon was handed a yellow card by referee Rory Hickey five minutes into Saturday’s game for his involvement in an incident involving Brendan McKeown.

However, the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) may ask Hickey to clarify exactly what he punished Dillon for after video footage showed the forward motioning his head towards McKeown’s.

A strike or an attempt to strike with the head carries a minimum eight-week ban.

Meanwhile, Crossmaglen’s Cunningham could be pulled up for dangerous play after appearing to push Doron Harte over pitch-side hoarding in the first-half.

If found guilty, Cunningham could face a four-week ban.
