McInerney goals put Banner in last four

The Cratloe man was the difference in the Gaelic Grounds, last night, with a haul of 2-1 from play.

Clare, who were beaten by Limerick after extra time last season, led 1-5 to 0-5 at half time. Limerick senior player Eoghan O’Connor had the home side off the mark after just 30 seconds but it was a McInerney goal in the 16th minute that divided the teams by the break. The dual player finished expertly after winning possession in the right corner and working his way goalwards before crashing to the net.
