McAliskey leads Red Hand rout of Fermanagh

Tyrone blitzed Fermanagh last night at Brewster Park to set up an Ulster U21 FC first round proper tie with Donegal.

Tyrone got a perfect start with a Conor McAliskey goal after just 15 seconds, and by the end of the opening quarter, they led by 1-5 to 0-1, with wing backs Niall Sludden and Tiernan McCann both on target.

The Erne men leaked further scores to Ronan O’Neill, McAliskey and Tommy Canavan, and at the break, Tyrone led by 1-8 to 0-1.

Fermanagh pulled back points from Sean Quigley and Bryan Owens. Fermanagh racked up 10 second-half wides, but finally got reward for their attacking efforts when Ruairi Corrigan goalled from close range after Richard O’Callaghan’s effort had smashed against a post.
