Model motoring well as Offaly get hammering
Jason Ryan’s men were on top throughout as they recorded their third win of their league campaign. The forwards had a field day and a goal with the last kick of the game from Shane Roche was the icing on the cake.
Any hopes of an Offaly comeback were dashed early in the second-half when Kevin Lynam was red carded.
Wexford went to the break 0-10 to 0-3 ahead without ever having to get out of second gear with PJ Banville, Ciaran Lyng all hitting multiple scores.
Offaly scored the first point of the game from a Nigel Dunne free but the next eight all came for Wexford as they cruised into the lead.
A goal early in the second-half from Ken Casey gave Offaly hope but Wexford responded with another six unanswered points.
Sub Bernard Allen did add a second goal for Offaly midway through the second half but the flow of points for Wexford kept coming right up to the final whistle as Offaly slumped to a fourth successive heavy defeat.
