Leahy sees effort pay off in rise of Causeway
Plenty evidence then that the hurling stock of North Kerry outfit Causeway CS is rising.
“We’ve certainly done well over the last few years,” admits Maurice Leahy, who is involved with the school in his role as full-time games development administrator in Kerry. “We’re back in another senior final and we’ve been very successful at junior level. It’s a far brighter situation compared to 20 years ago. The big improvement is in the coaching at both schools and club level. I’m full-time involved in hurling coaching but whereas before I had to cover the whole county, now my role is just in North Kerry.
