Tipp exile Corbett hits NY gym
The 2010 Hurler of the Year is in New York with former team-mate Eoin Kelly as guests of Martin Donnelly, a backer of Tipperary-born boxer Matthew Macklin.
Corbett yesterday tweeted a photograph from Macklin’s gym as he prepares for his world middleweight title fight against Sergio Martinez in Madison Square Gardens on St Patrick’s Day, saying: “At the gym with matthew macklin unreal stuff.” Asked by Thurles Sars teammate Padraic Maher on Twitter if he was also training, Corbett replied: “Doing a lot of things Paudie”.
