Barry goal proves key

Clonakilty CC claimed Munster Vocational senior football honours for the fourth consecutive year after a stern test at Ballineen on Saturday.

Barry goal proves key

Dunmanway bossed the opening exchanges with Mark Quinn and Eric Crowley to the fore as they went three points clear (0-5 to 0-2). However Clonakilty refused to panic and the free taking of Jack O’Mahony coupled with points from Jonathan Leahy and Cian Crowley had them level on five points apiece at the break.

But then came the decisive score as Gearóid Barry slotted home the rebound after a Cian O’Donovan drive came crashing back off the crossbar five minutes into the second half.
