Derrytresk fine paid anonymously
Tyrone newspaper The Ulster Herald reported the amount has been cleared by an individual who wishes not to be named.
Dromid Pearses have maintained they are unable to pay the proposed €2,000 fine handed down to them.
Both clubs were in Dublin last night to have their cases addressed by the GAA’s Central Hearings Committee.
Derrytresk face a race against time to have any of their eight players, who have been recommended suspensions, being made available to them for Sunday’s All-Ireland final against Galway side Clonbur in Croke Park. It’s likely they will also seek a meeting with the Central Appeals Committee and the option of the Disputes Resolution Authority hasn’t been ruled out.
