There was a touch of class about everything the Baltinglass man did as he clocked up 1-7.
Wicklow also had a big performance from Seanie Furlong as he chipped in with 1-5.
Wicklow led 3-11 to 1-1 at half-time despite gifting Kilkenny their 30-minute goal when a short kick-out by John Flynn went horribly wrong and let James Culleton drill to the net.
All six Wicklow forwards got on the scoresheet along with substitutes Adam Merriman, Tony Hannon and Paul Cronin. The game generated a bit of heat in the last two minutes as four players picked up yellow cards and Kilkenny’s JJ Dunphy was sent off on a second yellow.
