Meyler braced for Rebel test

Kerry hurling boss John Meyler is expecting no favours off his old pal Jimmy Barry-Murphy tomorrow.

With Kerry, after a first ever Waterford Crystal Cup win against IT Tralee last weekend, travelling to Páirc Uí Rinn for tomorrow’s quarter-final, Meyler has warned his side: Cork will teach us a lesson if we don’t play well.

And with Meyler’s former St Finbarrs and Cork team-mate Jimmy Barry Murphy taking charge of his first competitive game back in charge of the Rebels, the Kerry manager is wary of the challenge.
