Derrytresk manager Paul Hughes insists the unsavoury incidents which marred last Sunday’s All-Ireland Club JFC semi-final in Portlaoise have not detracted from their progress to the decider in Croke Park next month.

Hughes revealed there is “disappointment” in the Tyrone parish about the media coverage of the clash with Dromid Pearses but is adamant they will co-operate if there is any GAA investigation into the match.

“We’re in a position where we’ve won an All-Ireland semi-final having played some very, very good football and the boys are still on a high about that — they’re delighted and absolutely over the moon, as are we all in the area,” he said.
