Tipperary GAA officials plan to seriously cut spending on inter-county teams by €175,000 this year to help ease the Premier’s financial crisis.

The cut was revealed by new chairman Seán Nugent at the January meeting of the Tipperary county board.

In addition, Nugent and his colleagues are planning to save an extra €25,000 in other areas, meaning that the proposed reduction in overall expenditure for 2012 is a whopping €200,000.
