Gridiron fans to try their hand at hurling
The Indianapolis Hurling Club has been invited by the NFL’s organising committee to form part of the Super Bowl Village entertainment next Tuesday, five days before the decider between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.
The club, which has been going strong since 2006, will put on hurling demonstrations where fans can try their hand at using a hurley in a hitting cage.
Hurling will be one of a number of “Super Sports” in which local teams will raise awareness of their sports and activities.
Sports network ESPN will be broadcasting live from the village.
