Early goals pave way for Naomh Pádraig victory

GALWAY junior champions Naomh Pádraig, Clonbur eased their way into an All-Ireland club final with a facile victory in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.

First quarter goals from Brian Keane and Walter Holleran had the westerners in cruise control and they led 2-2 to 0-1 at the break with Aidan Gannon posting Ballivor’s sole score of that first half. Eamonn Ó Cuiv scored a fine individual goal two minutes after the restart to put Clonbur out of sight.
