From his hospital bed, Ó Sé (56) took to the airwaves (Limerick’s Live 95 FM) to apologise to the Galtee Gaels club in Limerick, as he was unable to attend a club awards night last evening.

Ó Sé was due to present medals at a Galtee Gaels function and to officially invite the club to participate in the forthcoming Dermot Earley tournament, to be held on the Dingle peninsula.

A disappointed Ó Sé added: “I just want to apologise to all the people up there and assure them that I’ll be out of hospital in the next couple of days. I’ll be up there with all of the Ó Sé clan next week and we’ll have a good night up there.”
