Dunne may have to act as players refuse to take retirement hint

WEXFORD manager Liam Dunne is faced with the prospect of omitting some established names from his 2012 panel as no player has yet retired.

In November, the three-time All Star publicly warned some of his older players they faced the axe if they didn’t take it upon themselves to hang up their boots. However, Dunne reports nobody has yet taken the hint.

“Nobody’s retired,” he said. “We haven’t finalised the panel and won’t for a while yet. We’ve had a development team going but we’ll be having a couple of games among ourselves over the next couple of weeks.
