St. Saviours secure top flight status with easy win

The dismissal of Anthony Jacob after 10 minutes did little to dent the winners’ challenge as they raced into a 1-5 to 0-3 interval lead with John Paul Jacob scoring the game’s only goal, all three Ballinameela points coming from Eoghan Walsh frees.

Points from Seán Corcoran, Nicky and Brian Jacob had St Saviours out of sight soon after the restart with a Walsh free the only reply from the losers. Ballinameela, crowned Waterford junior hurling champions a few weeks ago, return to the IFC ranks after two seasons in the senior grade.
