TIPPERARY senior football boss John Evans will resist any potential moves to switch Allianz National League home fixtures from Semple Stadium to alternative venues.

In his report to Monday’s annual Tipperary GAA convention, secretary Tim Floyd expressed concern about the financial viability of playing home National League football matches in Thurles.

2011 financial figures reveal that Tipp received €17,000 from the Allianz League pot while gate receipts for the three home Division 3 fixtures against Limerick, Westmeath and Wexfordtotalled just €4,625.
