Douglas thank Cork GAA public

DOUGLAS football delegate Der O’Regan paid tribute at Saturday night’s Cork GAA Convention to all those involved in Cork GAA who provided support in the search for Rochestown teenager Caolan Mulrooney, who tragically died last week.

“It’s a very tough time for all concerned,” he said.

“But on behalf of the Douglas GAA club and the Mulrooney family, I’d like to thank all the clubs in Cork who helped in a variety of ways. It helped hugely that the support of the GAA was there during a very difficult time. We in Douglas appreciate it, as do his parents Eugene and Margaret.”

Sympathies were expressed to the Mulrooney family on behalf of the board by secretary Frank Murphy.
