Kildare act to stem cash crisis
The county board was unable to issue a full audited statement of its accounts at Saturday night’s annual convention due to ongoing negotiations with Central Council over the procurement of a loan.
With GAA president Christy Cooney and director general Páraic Duffy in San Francisco for the All Star tour, the negotiations regarding the loan were unable to be concluded in time for the convention, but county chairman John McMahon declared he expected the provisions to be in place for the next board meeting in February.
