Doyle twins help inspire battling Joseph’s to title
Killian and Ciaran Doyle fired their side to victory and it is another fillip for Westmeath hurling and one that, in the end, was fully deserved, having weathered the storm in the first half.
Their cause was helped by the dismissal of Cistercian centre back Edward Prendergast on 47 minutes when the Roscrea led by a point.
Cistercian still led by a point with four minutes left before ace Westmeath attacker Killian Doyle popped up with a superb goal three minutes from time.
Robbie Greville and the Doyle twins hit 1-10 between them while captain Mark Glennon anchored the side from full back.
