O’Sullivan, Corbett and Power among top award recipients
The pair will be honoured at the Bord Gáis Energy Munster GAA Awards in the Malton Hotel, Killarney on Saturday night along with Tipperary minor football boss David Power who collects the Manager of the Year gong.
Over 30 players and officials will receive presentations at the province’s end of season gala event.
Corbett was a key man for the Premier County who claimed the Munster SHC title this season and has been a constant fixture for his county for the last decade, amassing four provincial titles, two All-Irelands, two NHL medals and three All Star awards.
O’Sullivan has enjoyed a remarkable senior career winning four All-Irelands, three Munster gongs and three NFL since called up to the Kerry team in 2003.
Meanwhile Power is being honoured for taking Tipperary to All-Ireland MFC glory — their first championship success in 77 years.
Bord Gáis Energy Sports Sponsorship Manager Ger Cunningham said “I am delighted that the hard work and achievements of both Lar and Declan are being recognised.”
Munster chairman Seán Walsh added: “Lar and Declan O are among the best forwards of their generation and contributed hugely to their teams march through Munster and to the All-Ireland finals.
“The Tipperary minors success against all the odds was one of the memorable stories of the year and the influence of David Power over the past number of years helped to mould a group of young players into outstanding champions.”
