Fixture clash won’t affect attendances, says Donnelly

MUNSTER Council chiefs insist the decision to fix their replayed club senior hurling final at the same time as the senior football decider on Sunday will not impact on attendances at either venue.

Fixture clash won’t affect attendances, says Donnelly

Crusheen and Na Piarsaigh meet again at Semple Stadium following yesterday’s draw while Dr Crokes and UCC contest the football showpiece in Fitzgerald Stadium. Both games throw in at 2pm.

Munster PRO Ed Donnelly last night explained the council’s stance. “Yes there will be a clash, but given that four different counties are competing we don’t feel it will impact on attendances. The replay date was always set for Sunday. The game in Killarney will be preceded by the Munster VEC final between Cork and Kerry (11.45am).
