Inexperience may cost Piarsaigh

WHY is this game on in Thurles?

Nothing against Semple Stadium, one of my favourite venues, but why couldn’t Crusheen and Na Piarsaigh come to an arrangement, a toss up, so this game could be played in either Ennis or the Gaelic Grounds?

It’s ridiculous forcing the supporters to travel all the way Thurles and it doesn’t make any economic sense either. Had it been in Ennis or Limerick you’d have had 8,000 or 9,000 at it. There is huge neutral support for both teams, but will those thousands travel to Thurles? I doubt it. If the clubs themselves couldn’t come to an agreement then the decision should have been taken out of their hands.
