Scoil Íosagáin turn on style in second-half
Level at 1-5 each at half-time, the Farranree school pulled clear early in the second-half to record an unanswered 2-4, Luke Donovan with an excellent individual goal before Jamie Morrissey struck for his second of the match while Ryan Foley scored two points.
Scoil Eoin did respond late on through goals from Sean Walsh and Ross O’Donovan, but the gap proved too much to bridge and Íosagáin held out.
They had got off to a great start when Morrissey goaled inside 30 seconds but Scoil Eoin responded well, a Killian Buckley goal putting them in front.

A POWERFUL finish meant the F2 title went to Gaelscoil Charraig Uí Leighin, beating neighbours Scoil Mhuire Lourdes. With six minutes remaining, Scoil Mhuire led 2-3 to 0-6 following Jack Kelly’s second goal, but two 25m frees from Gordon Mac Siúlaí and a wonderful Briain Ó Céilleachair goal, put the Gaelscoil back in front before Shane Ó Moráin and Mac Siúlaí rounded off the comeback, giving them a four-point victory.
Kelly’s goal two minutes into the second-half put Scoil Mhuire in front for the first time and while points from Ó Céilleachair and Éanna Ó Deasúnaigh (two) had Gaelscoil level, Kelly’s second goal restored the lead. They would not score again, however, while the Gaelscoil powered home.
