Cassidy leaves Donegal panel after McGuinness meeting

ALL STAR wing-back Kevin Cassidy has parted company with the Donegal senior panel following a meeting with manager Jim McGuinness yesterday.

McGuinness was unwilling to make any comment on the matter last night only to confirm the player’s departure.

It had been suggested in certain quarters the Donegal manager was unhappy with Cassidy’s participation in a newly released book titled ‘This is Our Year,’ which features players and management involved in the Ulster championship penned by Declan Bouge, a Fermanagh journalist and editor of Gaelic Life.
