COLM BEGLEY fears the future of the International Rules Series is in jeopardy after Ireland’s record victory over Australia in Friday’s first test.

The Laois captain and former Brisbane Lions and St Kilda player believes there is not enough support being given to the hybrid game in Australia.

A modest crowd of 22,921 witnessed the home side go down by 44 points in the Etihad Stadium, a defeat which compelled Australia coach Rodney Eade to suggest some of his players were “disgraceful” in their preparations for the game.
