Quinn: It took time to get our act together

THEY have national stars and emerging inter-county talents yet the man who will lead Dr Crokes out for next Sunday’s county final is the one who has been at the coalface of their preparations all year.

Luke Quinn freely admits 2011 has not been the smoothest season with small numbers at training and long hiatuses from action in the middle of the summer. But they persevered and have been rewarded.

“We were more hopeful than anything this year,” outlined Quinn.
