TUAM STARS, the most prolific winners of the Galway SFC but without a win since 1984, reached their first final since 1995 after ousting favourites Salthill/Knocknacarra in this replay at Tuam Stadium yesterday.

They will now face neighbours Corofin in the final after seeing off a Salthill side that had Stephen O’Reilly sent off ten minutes from the end.

Tuam Stars, managed by new Galway football selector Alan Glynn, will now have to face into next weekend’s county football final on the back of five games on the trot after draws in their quarter and semi-finals.
