ALL-IRELAND Club senior hurling champions Clarinbridge yesterday won the trip of a lifetime to Australia but their involvement in this year’s Galway championship may prevent theirleading stars from jetting off later this month.

The Galway powerhouse, home of county hurlers Alan and Mark Kerins as well as David Forde were named as winners of the Best Club Down Under competition organised by All-Ireland SHC sponsors Etihad Airways.

They won the public vote on www.etihadgaa.ie ahead of the other shortlisted clubs — Dublin’s Kilmacud Crokes, Bishopstown of Cork and Wexford outfit Glynn-Barntown.
