Fanning not running for Waterford hurling job

THE potential candidate list for the vacant Waterford hurling job has been cut again as outgoing selector Paraic Fanning won’t be putting his name forward for the position.

Local radio station WLR yesterday revealed the Mount Sion man who worked under Davy Fitzgerald for two seasons has pulled out of the race.

Fanning follows fellow selector Pat Bennett and current U21 manager Fergal Hartley who have also ruled themselves out of taking over from Fitzgerald.
