Kilkenny haven’t gone ‘haywire’ on tactics

IN the aftermath of last Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC final victory over Tipperary there was much talk about the new approach by Brian Cody and Kilkenny, how the Cats had become newly tactical.

Comparisons were being made with the swarm defence of Armagh and Tyrone in football.

The next morning at CityWest, the Kilkenny team hotel, Brian was somewhat bemused at that suggestion.
