McQuillan to ref football decider

The Kill Shamrocks man is in line to take charge of his first decider, following in the footsteps of his fellow countyman Brian Crowe who took charge of the 2006 final between Kerry and Mayo.
McQuillan has refereed two of Dublin’s SFC games so far this year but none of Kerry’s.
McQuillan’s expected appointment means Pat McEnaney has refereed his last game atinter-county level.
Due to the age limit of 50, 2011 was certain to be the Monaghan official’s last season at the top level.
