McQuillan to ref football decider

CAVAN’S Joe McQuillan, pictured, is set to beannounced as the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship finalreferee later today.

The Kill Shamrocks man is in line to take charge of his first decider, following in the footsteps of his fellow countyman Brian Crowe who took charge of the 2006 final between Kerry and Mayo.

McQuillan has refereed two of Dublin’s SFC games so far this year but none of Kerry’s.
