Rossies have it all to do
The Kingdom were 0-24 to 0-10 winners over Meath in last year’s decider and a number of their squad this year have gained senior experience with John Meyler’s Christy Ring Cup winning team.
Kerry will have to plan without chief scorer Darragh O’Connell who hit 1-10 against Westmeath in that Christy Ring Cup decider as he is domiciled in the USA for the summer while minor star Padraig Boyle has also been ruled out through injury.
Roscommon claimed honours in the Connacht U21B hurling decider against Mayo last Wednesday week by 2-14 to 1-10. The side are anchored by defenders Declan Leonard and Brian Donnelly, while Eamon Mulry and Eamonn Kenny lend valuable support to their main dangerman in attack John Coyne.
The other All-Ireland U21BHC semi-final also takes place today in Ballinamore, Leitrim at 2pm with Donegal and Westmeath going head to head.
