Roche turns on magic as Catherines advance

ST CATHERINE’S cruised into the Cork IHC semi-finals last night after seeing off a strong challenge from Kanturk at Castletownroche.

Star of the show for the Saints was their roving attacker Pa Roche. The left full forward bagged a personal tally of 1-4 as he tormented the Kanturk defence throughout the contest.

Roche’s contribution may have over shadowed the part played by his teammates at times, but without the sublime free taking of Kevin Dineen and the sterling defensive play of Ronan Clancy and Padraig Clancy this win would not have been possible.
