In-form Corkery proves Aghabullogue match-winner

JOHN CORKERY inspired Aghabullogue to victory over wasteful Fermoy at a Mourneabbey yesterday in their Cork IFC fourth round clash.

Corkery proved to be Fermoy’s tormentor-in-chief with an exceptional display, scoring 0-3, 0-2 from play, but it was a relatively poor contest. Fermoy began positively and were ahead inside the opening minute courtesy of a Jack Hutchings converted 20-metre free.

Aghabullogue’s Patrick Finnegan sent over two frees of his own on seven and eight minutes to edge the victors in front.
