Breen on mission

KERRY captain Bernie Breen believes there is “more to come” from her side ahead of this evening’s TG4 All-Ireland Ladies SFC quarter-final against Mayo in Birr (4.15pm).

The Kingdom bounced back from their Munster final defeat to Cork with a 2-10 to 0-5 victory over Donegal in the qualifiers but Breen knows Mayo represent a sterner challenge.

She said: “We didn’t turn up for the Munster final against Cork. We needed to put in a good performance against Donegal and play a lot better, and we did that. But I feel that there is more to come from us. We can play better. There is room for improvement but we need to start showing that.”
