Mulholland tipped for Tribe

ALAN MULHOLLAND, the favourite to take over as the new Galway football manager, says he will consider the position if he is nominated.

Mulholland tipped for Tribe

Mulholland, who led Galway to the All-Ireland U21 title this year, is strongly fancied to succeed Tomás Ó Flatharta, who was removed from the post on Friday after just 10 months in charge, while Sligo boss and former Galway midfielder Kevin Walsh is also expected to be shortlisted.

Mulholland, who managed Galway to the 2007 All-Ireland minor title and also won the U16 Ted Webb Cup prior to that, said he was honoured to be considered for the position.
