Hogan: Panic the reason for high number of wides

RICHIE HOGAN admitted panic was one of the main reasons behind Kilkenny’s high wide count yesterday.

The Danesfort man believes the Cats got a little edgy in trying to get scores from out the field as Waterford attempted a comeback in the second-half.

“It was so, so tough out there, especially in the second-half when Waterford kept coming at us with great scores. We panicked a bit and started hitting long-range shots and I was the culprit for a few of them.”
