Galway boss Murphy expects Banner battle

GALWAY are without defender Darragh Burke for tomorrow’s All-Ireland MHC semi-final against Clare as the St Thomas player has been ruled out with a broken thumb.

Burke, a younger brother of senior star David, was in sparkling form earlier this year helping St Brigid’s (Loughrea) claim the All-Ireland Vocational SAHC title.

Manager Mattie Murphy admits Burke will be a loss but is hopeful his side can build on their 8-26 to 0-12 destruction of Antrim at the quarter-final stage.
